Wooden muntins

Wooden muntins are elements that significantly change the appearance of the window, because they divide them into several parts. Two types of these components are used in MS Windows and Doors – structural and glued. They give the woodwork a traditional character.

Glued-on muntins

Glued-on wooden muntins, also referred to as Viennese, consist of an internal and external wooden muntin, fixed to the glass with special tapes and silicone. Additionally, in the glazing unit – between the glass panes – there is a blind muntin, the so-called duplex. It is available in the same colors as the inter-pane frame that separates the individual panes. Thanks to this, the effect is obtained in which each section, formed by a glued-on muntin bar, looks like a separate small pane. Such solutions can be used in single and double glazed units. The muntin bars are made of the same wood and varnished in the same color what the window. MS Windows and Doors offer glued-on muntins in five product lines (Modern, Soft, Classic, Art, Old), in various sizes.

Construction muntins

Wooden construction muntins are also referred to as lacings or lamellas. This is the most traditional form of window division. The battens divide the glazing unit into separate fields. What’s more, they strengthen the structure and give it a unique look. The range of MS Windows and Doors includes lamellas from five product lines (Modern, Soft, Classic, Art, Old). Their minimum width is 56 mm (lines: Modern, Classic, Art and Old) or 60 mm (Soft). As in the case of glued-on muntin bars, the same is used to make the battens type of wood, in the same color how to manufacture a window.
