1. Standard vertical window
We mount them above the worktop, which provides perfect lighting or next to the sink. Although this location of the window excludes the upper kitchen, it allows you to observe the surroundings when preparing meals and washing. Most often in the kitchen we use swing-and-lift windows, which is associated with the possibility of free airing. However, if our kitchen countertops are quite wide, then access to the handle can be difficult. If we care about the window above the sink, then we need to remember the right height between the table top and the window. There can be two options: a window above the table top level or at exactly its height. In the second case, it is worth installing suitable re reassemiable batteries, otherwise we may have a problem with the opening of the wings.
2. Horizontal window with hinges mounted at the bottom of the frame
An alternative can also be horizontal windows with hinges mounted not on the side, but at the bottom of the frame. The use of such a solution will allow us to easily fit the window under the upper cabinets and freely tilt them. It is worth considering the option with hidden hinges, which use affect the aesthetic qualities of the joinery and facilitate cleaning, which in the case of the kitchen seems to be a reasonable way out.
3. Corner kitchen window
The kitchen is a place where we spend a lot of time and we should see as much as possible from it. The easiest way to meet these assumptions is when the kitchen is located in the corner of the building. It is worth planning the installation of the corner window. Thanks to this, the kitchen will become our vantage point, from which we will easily observe the surroundings of the house. Current technological and thermal solutions mean that we do not have to worry about strength or excessive heat escape with such structures.
4. Fix kitchen window
If there is a lot of space in our kitchen, it is worth planning large glazing, e.g. fix (non-open windows). The use of a larger glazing package means even better illumination of the table top or interior. It should be rightly noted that such window solutions are better used, as long as the kitchen is located on a relatively low ground floor. Otherwise, we may have trouble cleaning windows.
5. Terrace doors
As a rule, the door leading to the terrace is placed in the living room, but modern construction increasingly focuses on combining the kitchen with the terrace. No matter where you choose to install the terrace door, it is worth checking to see if they limit the space available inside. If so, instead of a typical terrace door opening inside or outside, we can choose, e.g. patio hst lift and sliding doors or patio psk swing-sliding doors.
