Salamander passive windows for zone C
Passive House Institute is an organization that deals with the certification of products used in energy-efficient construction. Such a certificate (for zone C) was recently obtained by the profile system bluEvolution 82 ? one of the solutions offered by the Salamander brand. This means that the product meets the recommendations related to the construction of energy-saving facilities. Certification confirms the possibility of using the system in passive buildings in temperate warm climates. This zone includes m.in. Spain, Italy, the western part of France, the Balkans, the southern part of the USA, as well as Korea and Japan.
Energy-efficient construction and lower spending
A passive window is an element of joinery that meets the requirements for the construction of energy-saving facilities. This is referred to as certified structures with very good thermal insulation, i.e. low heat transfer coefficient Uw. They guarantee a reduction in the energy consumed for interior heating. Thanks to them, the operating costs of the building are significantly reduced. Such windows effectively minimize the amount of heat entering from the room to the outside. This is influenced by m.in. the use of shaft inserts with low-emission coatings. They transmit infrared radiation that is part of solar radiation. At the same time, they reduce the emission of long-term radiation, that is, prevent heat escape outside.
Salamander passive window parameters
If a shaft package with heat transfer coefficient Ug = 0,9 W/m2K is used, the value of the parameter for the reference window is Uw = 1,0 W/m2K (certificate data). The use of the cartridge with Ug = 0.58 W/m2K significantly improves the thermal insulation of the window – reduces the value of the heat transfer coefficient to Uw = 0.8 W/m2K.
