Muntin bars glued to wooden-aluminum windows
The use of glued-on muntins in wooden-aluminum windows means the use of elements made of two materials. The muntin used from the room side is made of wood. On the outside, an aluminum component is attached. In order to attach both parts to the glass, special tapes and silicone or gaskets are used. In order to effectively reproduce the effect resembling the use of several separate panes in the window, there is a blind muntin, or duplex, in the chambers between the glass panes. The color of this element is exactly the same as the frame separating the panes. Glued-on muntins are available in single-chamber and double-chamber packages. The internal element is made of the same wood – both in terms of species and color of the varnish – what a window. The muntin mounted on the outside is matched to sash and frame cladding profiles , also coloristically .
